Becoming An Educator

SofTap has always believed in empowering artists through robust, generous education.

Over the years, we’ve seen too many artists finish training feeling underprepared, rushed, overcharged, and left without real support.

SofTap mentors & instructors exist to change that.

As a SofTap educator, you step into a leadership role, guiding artists at a critical stage of their development and helping raise the standard of PMU education as a whole.

Requirements to Apply

Mentors play a critical role in student success, so we're selective about who we approve.

To apply, you should:

  • Have strong, consistent PMU experience
  • Be confident working on many skin types
  • Be a clear and patient communicator
  • Be open to feedback and committed to following SofTap standards
  • Share our values around throughtful, ethical education

You don't need to be flashy, perfect, or "Instagram famous."

You do need to be reliable, grounded, and genuinely invested in student success.

Please note that additional training or evaluation may be required to ensure alignment and consistency across the SofTap program.

Pathway to Becoming an Educator

Becoming a SofTap educator is guided process designed to help experienced artists become confident leaders and trusted representatives of the SofTap brand.

1. Apply

Submit an application to tell us about your experience, teaching interest, and alignment with SofTap values.

2. Review & Contact

We will review your application, then follow-up with questions and contact you to ensure a good fit on both sides.

3. Training

If approved, you'll complete the required training to align with SofTap teaching standards and expectations.

4. Begin Working with Students

Once certified, you can begin scheduling students who have already completed foundational training, allowing you to focus on hands-on support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be SofTap trained to become a Mentor or Instructor?

While this is not a requirement, it is highly recommended since you are required to have extensive experience with SofTap products and the SofTap Hand Method.
What is the difference between a SofTap Mentor and an Instructor?

Mentor's will follow the training structure of the SofTap Academy, where students complete fundamentals with us (HQ) and then complete their hands-on training with their Mentor. Instructors are more experienced and may form their own program to teach students from start to finish (the program must be submitted and approved by SofTap before implementation).
How will I get students?

SofTap may refer students to you, but mentors and instructors are ultimately responsible for building their own local training relationships.
How will I get paid for training?

Students pay mentors and instructors directly. SofTap provides pricing guidelines to help keep training fair and consistent.
